The SEED Program is part of Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education.  SEED serves Adult Special Needs students with mental Illness.

Our Mission
To offer community education classes that support mental health needs and lifelong learning of adults as they develop to their full potential in the community.

To be a model community education program serving mental health needs of community members in an adult education setting.

Our History
SEED was established in 1972 by the Saint Paul Schools Board of Education as a contemporary living skills program providing community living skills for adult community members experiencing mental illness.  Since its inception, SEED has enrolled more than 15,000 community members.

Referral & Enrollment Process
Referral is made by the learner’s social worker, mental health professional or by the learner through self-referral.  An intake interview is completed.  Learners can attend classes one to five days a week  Certificates of program participation are issued at the end of the school year.

Eligibility
Classes are available to Ramsey County residents meeting guidelines.
Classes are open to persons in surrounding counties on a fee basis.
Students can private pay if they are not enrolled in
County Services.
