Policies
  • Class Placement:
    • If a student is registered for a class that is inappropriate for the student’s skill level, that student will not be allowed to remain in the class.  The student will be placed in the appropriate class only if space is available.  Decisions are at the discretion of the instructors and pool staff.
  • Make-up classes are not available when participants are unable to attend their scheduled class(es).
  • Everyone must wait back, away from the pool, until receiving further directions from their instructor or pool staff.
  • Shower before entering the pool.
  • Anyone not registered for the lesson is not permitted in the pool.
  • Goggles are permitted.  However, instructors may ask younger children not to use goggles so as not to become dependant on them.
  • Do not come to lessons if you are sick or contagious (ie: severe cold, flu, diarrhea, pink eye, ring worm, strep throat, etc).
  • Do not drink or spit the pool water.
  • Parent and Child classes (Water Babies, Tiny Tots, Waders with Parents):
    • Only one parent (or adult, 15 years or older) is permitted in the pool with each child.
    • Children who are not potty trained must wear a disposable swim diaper or plastic pants.  Regular disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool.
    • Please change diapers in locker rooms and not at poolside to help prevent germs from spreading to objects in and around the pool.
    • Parents must not swim while holding their child.  Parent’s feet must remain on the ground at all times.
    • Children tall enough to stand by themselves in the water must remain within arm’s reach of their parent and under close supervision of their parent at all times.
    • Do not climb, play, or hang on pool steps, ramps, ladders, or railings.
